Mosaic Turner's Result Cvs

HOME SWEET HOME

still do not know if we returned from the Antipodes or the confines of the Milky Way. The journey Hobart (capital of Tasmania) - Sevilla took us 96 hours and I swear we did not walk. After crossing the Bass Strait (see Google Maps) and reconstruct the Melbourne airport travel to Hong Kong where we barely had time to sip some coffee - almost dawn - one of the ubiquitous Starbucks (and have colonized Asia, I suspect). From there we jump to a cosmic journey in which we cross the Himalayas, the Gobi desert, the steppes of Siberia, the Urals and the Baltic, to land in the middle of a beautiful snow storm at London airport Heathrow.
And there, in the sweet Europe (so we thought we), was the worst. Our flight was canceled and with hundreds of passengers we were caught in a whirlwind of snow, lack, hunger, fatigue and despair. Soon, very soon, failed to spend Christmas Eve in British lands, expeditioners dressed with a glossy layer of dirt travel. Blessed and holy
mobile friends (Manuel, you're great, I owe you one anemones in the south).
Thanks to our guardian angels in Seville, which had in the air in the middle of their Christmas shopping.
Thanks to the people of Iberia who brought us, as he could, the mess.
Thanks to the captain of the flight from Madrid to Seville, which made us laugh when we no longer had the strength not to laugh.
Thanks to those who were generous in the midst of confusion. When a group works in solidarity problems are small, very small ... and the smile does not disappear.

Now we just need ... luggage to appear ...
keep you informed ...
January 7 Annotation: the bags were arriving little by little, and the routine (holy routine) as well. Now only (merely?) Tell this story in pictures ...

What Is The Removal Of A Cervical Polyp Called

SMILE, PLEASE WALK AMONG GIANTS

With that arrogance that sometimes assails us humans (especially when we left home) tend to think, too often, that ours is the best . Our meal times are the most successful (however delusional) that our driving is the most sensible (although we stamped by dozens on the roads), which are the most sympathetic of the global world (even the poor national grape has a long tradition and a reputation), etc ... etc ...
When you come to Australia, if the prisoner of immodesty, they often think, abusing the topic, that very little can be expected from a country that was founded from the convicts arrived from England. Which abounds here, on account of this shameful origin, rude people, rude and suspicious.
Notice to mariners: in a few places you can find people more friendly, nicer, more smiling, more educated and more confident (in the good way). There are no bars on the windows. There are no police patrolling the streets or highways. No waiters who ask you to pay at the same time serve you. No taxi drivers who will bark if the race is very short. No pedestrians who ignore your question because your English is poor. There are no people in a bad mood for no reason. Nobody misses a "hello" or a "thank you" or a "good morning." No one plays the horn (I guess that is only used in cases of imminent abuse.) No one spits on the street, or disposal of cigarette butts anywhere. That
other (let's be honest) when these people give him two drinks ... things change ... worse.

On all tours there is a "magic moment" (or more). A time when, despite the many miles traveled and visited multiple scenarios, nature surprises you, gives you something unexpected, leaves you breathless, speechless. In Argentina, to mention our last campaign CSIC & RTVA scientists, this gift gave us a December morning in the waters of Patagonia, where southern right whales gave us only for us, the best ballet, and even sang with sound harsh and primitive.
Yesterday, Tasmanian live one of those magical moments. We were lucky to walk among giants, walking the path, and rightly, the locals have dubbed "The land of the giants." Eucalyptus monumental 400 year old and 90 feet high, dot the forest ("forest or jungle?) Lined with ferns that grew above our heads what little light filtered down to the ground. We were at the heart of Mount Field National Park, but we all felt at the scene of "Jurassic Park", hoping that the dense vegetation, appeared a dinosaur.
Eucalyptus trees that give name to this area are Eucalyptus regnans trees considered highest in the world (in stiff competition with North American redwoods). In Tasmania the record is held by a specimen of 97 meters, although there are official records of eucalyptus, and missing, which exceeded the 110 meters. Even more surprising is the rapid growth: in good conditions can grow 10 feet in just 15 months ... And from seed!
walked among giants and not feel small, very small ...

Alaska Cruise Which Canada Visa

The meteorologist / a must be one of the toughest jobs in Tasmania. Not if it occurs throughout the year, but in this austral summer start predicting the weather in any area of this island beyond, say, thirty minutes is impossible. At dawn one looks out the window, for example, see the sky covered by clouds of black color chestnut. Briefly visit the bathroom and when you look out the window looks like a splendid sun. After the shower has already started to rain and while breakfast is served starting a sunny parade not just decide on one or the other. Finally, as we pass every day, one goes to work with T-shirt, shirt, fleece, jacket and raincoat, with the conviction that all these elements will be essential throughout the day (separately or juntos).

Funny Fake Illness Names

A CRAZY TIME CAUGHT FROM THE AIR THREAT DIABLO

Today as every day we prepared to leave for a sampling of the islets, in this case Wedge Island. We take a boat trip from the University of Tasmania to get closer to the island, in which foreground a bald eagle greeted us in their host. Here, while we manipulated the low shearwaters scorching sun, we were surprised by a helicopter of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition estrepidosamente that rushed upon us. And hung, to our surprise, our colleagues in television were defying gravity ... ..

Does Katydids Candy Still Exist?

cartoons from Warner Bros gave popularity to an animal that previously was not known beyond of this land Australia. The Tasmanian devil (Sarcophilus harrisii) is a carnivorous marsupial about the size of a small dog that lives only in the Australian island. Does not seem especially threatening until it begins to growl and show its powerful teeth can crush the bones of their victims.
In 1997 he began to be affected by a facial cancer that has decimated wild populations. It is estimated that in the early years of the disease killed half of the 75,000 living in Tasmanian devils, and those who have survived are facing stiff competition from red fox, a species that inexplicably came to Tasmania, as an invasive species in 2001.
With the help of John Hamilton, founder and head of the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park, managed to save Tasmanian devils not play us (much) type. Well, the truth is that Arthur, our cameraman, spent some trouble on account of a devil who is infatuated with his knee. So we close the record, and so closely you will see in the documentary.

A JOURNEY IN PICTURES - II

Nadine Jansen Fighting

OF PARADISE TO HELL IN YALOAK

in the Iberian Peninsula while the environmental movement has spent decades fighting the eucalyptus plantations in Tasmania is fighting a hard battle for the trees . Eucalyptus trees to 90 feet (90 meters high!, About 7 meters less than the Giralda of Seville) and 400 years old (400 years!, Ie, they grew 40 years ago that the Dutch navigator Abel Tasman first described this island) are being cut down to make them ... chipped! The paper insatiable Asian industry giants feed on plants that are disappearing from some of the most beautiful valleys in Tasmania, such as Florentine. Yesterday
we get into the National Park Hartz Mountains. In just over 30 miles in paradise (superb trees, giant ferns, streams of clear water in which the elusive platypus inhabits ,...) and suffering and hell (forests leveled by the bulldozer, eucalyptus stumps missing a monumental stroke chainsaw, oil and gas pools, mountains of rotting in the sun chips ...).
When we speak of deforestation of primary forests in the world we tend to find this mess in the Amazon jungle or anywhere else "underdeveloped", where murky business, in collusion with corrupt governments, rampant. But nobody talks about the savage deforestation that suffers Tasmania, where every day away an area of forest equivalent to 44 football fields ... every day.

Current Famous People Have Antisocial

The State Yaloak work progresses in a farm devoted to sheep farming and cereal cultivation in the vicinity of town of Bacchus Marsh. John, responsible "no worries" has fulfilled its commitment to provide rabbits, and we have put in charge of field cameras attached to camera traps. Early results indicate that eagles (Aquila audax), falcons (Falco berigora), crows (Corvus coronoid) and foxes (Vulpes vulpes) are vertebrates responsible for disposal of carcasses, and consume them quite effectively. Few remains left for the flies that plague us, perhaps some to be cooked with chocolate by Fernando "sounds good." After digestion continue placing cameras, we want to see how it all works fine weather and it seems that as of today we have sun and lots of heat after several days of clouds and showers.
